When users click on a programme by another broadcaster they are redirected to the relevant broadcaster's catch up service (either the ITV Hub, All 4 or My5). The feature was added to the search function and the channels function. In February 2011 the BBC iPlayer was once again modified to include links to programmes from other broadcasters, including ITV, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4, Channel 4, E4, More4, Film4, Channel 5, 5Star, 5USA and S4C. The service is available on a wide range of devices, including mobile phones and tablets, personal computers and smart televisions.

We also missed the ability to mark things as favorites when using BBC iPlayer.

We have to admit that we thought we'd be given more options, but found they were quite limited - you can create a PIN under parental lock, and tweak some video and download settings, but that's about it. Search or browse for what you want, find out about it on its homepage and then watch or download. Using BBC iPlayer is very easy and intuitive.

If the content is subscription-only, you won't be able to access it, but if you have a subscription, it's free or you're in the UK, you'll be able to watch it there and then or download it for later viewing.
